Donald Bogard, 93, of Jonesboro, died on Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born in McClelland, Arkansas to William and Oma Bogard. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He retired after many years of service as a delivery driver for Wonder Bread. He enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. He always took out time to watch ASU football and basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nellie Bogard; son, Jerry Bogard; siblings, Billy Lionel Bogard, Conley Earl Bogard, Charles Arnold "Buddy" Bogard, Betty Lou “Sis” Bogard Wagner and Carolyn Ann Bogard Osborne.
Survivors include his son, Bruce Bogard and wife Debbie of Middletown, Delaware; granddaughters, Brooks Benzing and husband Tony of Germantown; Abby Bogard of Townsend, Delaware; great grandchildren, Mattie and Emma; brothers, Harold Bogard of Morgan Hill, California; Jerry Bogard of Tennessee; William Elwood Bogard, Jr. of Jonesboro; Frank “Tater” Bogard of Kingsbury, California; Benny Bogard of Springfield, Missouri; and sister Bonnie Butler of San Antonio, Texas.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 at Emerson Funeral Home. To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
